Temelio is an all in one grant management system that has been designed to optimize grant transparency while speeding up grant workflows.
Most grants management systems simply don’t work for today’s grantmakers. These platforms are bulky, confusing, and often require months of expensive onboarding, causing strain on the very foundations who rely on them to maximize their reach.
Temelio is changing the grants management game for the better. Temelio works with your foundation to simplify reporting, streamline processes, and make it easier for you to make a lasting impact.
Temelio came to What Else for partnership across branding, web design, product design guidelines, and messaging. Knowing that Temelio means “foundation” in Greek, we were able to create a cohesive brand system, rooted in foundational layers. These layers act a way of looking deeper so that we can build more secure structures for the foundations of the future.
As Temelio grows from a blooming startup into a fully fledged leader in the tech world, it was increasingly important to delivery an identity and brand system that could grow with them over time, without overwhelming them while they manage many other day to day tasks. The Temelio team was crucial in giving us insights into the way they work so that we could show up and create utility for them in every creative decision we made.

Our logomark relies on two concepts that relate directly to the Temelio product—Foundation and Distribution. These shapes are the base of our shape language for the brand and act as a guide to our design decisions across the brand.
Temelio’s new website utilizes the idea of layers to bring information to the forefront of the customer experience. Modules and images grow, overlap, and reveal more information as you scroll down the page, giving a sense of a z-axis in the space.
Our primary typeface, Good Sans, is a blend of humanistic and approachable shapes without being too playful. This keeps the brand feeling refined without feeling too serious.
Maya Kuppermann, Founder & CEO of Temelio
The What Else team did an exceptional job at bringing our product, culture, and mission to life through our new brand. Their thoughtful and collaborative approach made them a joy to work with and their work delivered a massive impact to our organization and our external credibility.
A custom icon library allows Temelio to own their details and bring the shape language from the logo into more aspects of the brand.
Stylized product screens serve as a glimpse into the product on the website, and it also serves as a reference for product design decisions in the future.
Numerals are typeset in Plex Mono, allowing data to take a more serious look and feel while also allowing the numbers to stack up in logical ways.
A lite product design guide was delivered to Temelio so that as their engineering and product design team grow, they can make unified decisions about the big picture, and nitty gritty details in the app.
Custom deck templates allow the Temelio team to communicate, on brand, in a fraction of the time.
Marketing & comms follow an intentional color and type hierarchy, which allows the Temelio team to create net new assets on their own as they are just getting started.
We delivered editable one pager templates to the Temelio team so that they can continue to market their product even when our design team steps away.
And of course, one of the most fun collaborative parts of the project is helping the client design their new swag kits.
